Sam Harwood, LCSW
Sam (she/her) is a trauma-informed, Licensed Clinical Social Worker from Chicago, Illinois. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work from Northeastern Illinois University and a Master’s Degree in Social Work from the University of Denver with a concentration in Health and Wellness.
She has over 10 years of experience in the field, and has worked in school, home, community, hospital, and inpatient behavioral health settings.
Sam supports individuals and families through stress, anxiety, depression, grief and loss, life transitions, and the human experience. Social justice is a guiding tenet of her work, and she aims to uncover how therapy can be utilized as a tool for collective liberation.
She approaches therapy with compassion, gentleness, humor, and the belief that healing is possible. Her goal as a therapist is to create a safe, supportive, judgement-free space where you can explore thoughts, feelings, goals and areas of challenge or discomfort.

A consultation call can be scheduled prior to an in-person appointment. This call is designed to help you learn more about Sam and Gold Heart Therapy, and ask any questions you may have around the therapeutic process, billing, scheduling, etc. Please fill out the contact form to schedule your initial consultation.

Individual therapy begins with an intake appointment. From there, you will work collaboratively with the therapist to establish goals, and build a therapeutic relationship. Individual therapy will be tailored to your specific needs and may include a variety of trauma-informed, evidenced-based modalities.
Sessions are 50-minutes long and will take place in Evergreen, CO unless otherwise arranged with your therapist ahead of time.

In many cases, family support and involvement is a crucial part of an individual’s healing and therapeutic goals. Family therapy may include some or all members of your family. What makes a family is unique for everyone, and how you define your family unit is up to you.
Family therapy is available for existing clients at the discretion of the therapist. If you are an existing client, please outreach Gold Heat Therapy to learn more about scheduling a family session.
